Kilbrittain Historical Society Journal Vol. 5 2019/20

This is the fifth volume of the Journal of the Kilbrittain Historical Society. It incudes articles about local Volunteer Charlie Hurley, Garretstown House, the making of the RTE documentary 'The Brigade', the adventures of Irishmen in the American Wild West, a warm hearted account of horse drawn caravanning in Kilbrittain with contributions from Meave Binchy, personal memories from the early 20th century, and a previously unpublished photo of Comdt. Sean Hales TD shortly before his assassination. The contributions of beautiful images by our talented local photographers serve to complement and enhance the quality of this journal.
