Kilbrittain Historical Society Journal Vol. 4 2018/19

This is the fourth volume of the Journal of the Kilbrittain Historical Society. It includes articles on Coolmain Castle, Brehon Law, local evictions during the Land League, the first part of a three part article on IRA commander Charlie Hurley, the killing of RIC man Constable Bolger, several articles on the War of Independence written by direct participants, ecclesiastical history, educational history in the area, the concluding part of the story of 'Rebel Doctor' Dorothy Stopford-Price, and a tribute to the local people who perished in the Tuskar Rock air disaster of 1968. Other items include personal histories, poetry, society trips, and superb images from local photographers.
